The American Society of Optometric Surgeons (A.S.O.S.) was founded (2017) to promote collaboration, professional discourse and development amongst optometric physicians and educators and to ensure excellence in patient care with regards to primary care optometric office-based surgical and ophthalmic laser procedures.  The ASOS is a tax exempt nonprofit under (IRC) Section 501(c)(3). Donors may be able to deduct contributions under IRC Section 170. The ASOS may also receive gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
